I love a mocha with a twist of orange flavor. Basically, you make a mocha, and add a shot of either orange flavor or of caracoa (is that how you spell it? It is orange liqueur) Thanks for the chance to play!

I’m not very adventurous with my coffee (I usually drink plain black), but my dad makes some very yummy Spanish coffee once in a while. It’s really more of an alcoholic drink than a coffee drink, but here goes: rub the lip of a large wineglass with a piece of orange and dip in sugar to coat it. Put a shot (or however much seems appropriate for the size of the glass) of brandy in the glass and light it on fire, tipping and turning the glass to melt the sugar on the rim a bit. Add a shot of Kahlua, then hot coffee to almost fill the glass. Top with a big spoonful of whipped cream.

It’s fun to do this in a dark room so you can see the flames.

I’m an espresso junkie. Nothing in it, just black and strong. Why ruin a good cup of coffee with flavoring? I’d love to win the cards to celebrate my love of coffee. If I want a treat in the summertime, I’ll have iced (espresso) coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I love my coffee but only in the morning & am not one to add flavorings to it. Back in the days BK (before kids) every once in awhile it was nice to have some Bailey’s Irish Cream in my coffee. I haven’t had that in years. We would even make our own Bailey’s. lol

I am a chai drinker myself, so this recipe intrigues me even though I haven’t tried it. I’ll share it:
    Thai Iced Coffee

    2 tsp cardamom, ground
    4 tbs sugar
    4 tbs heavy cream
    1 tsp almond extract
    PREPARATION:
Use your favorite brewing method to make 4 cups of coffee, mixing the ground cardamom in with the grounds first. Add sugar and almond to the hot coffee, and mix until dissolved. Let cool. Half-fill 4 tall glasses with crushed ice, then fill up with chilled coffee.
Add a spoonful of cream to each, just before serving.
    Serves 4

My favorite drink when I am cold is just old fashion tea. I love a good cup of tetley tea with tin milk not fresh and sugar. Nothing fancy but it is good.

Tks for the opportunity of winning blog candy.

I use the Foldgers brand and perculate my coffee. I can actually hear everyone moaning….is she for real? Is she in the right Century? Its true, if someone likes cream I add cream, if they ask for sugar I add sugar. I myself don’t drink much coffee and come to think of it…no one ever asks for a second cup. LOL
I guess I don’t know how to serve the espresso kind. I don’t think I have even tried the espresso kind either. I know…I know…I need to enter the 21st century.
OK OK everyone stop throwing coffee beans at me! I get the point!

Wonderful blog! I love a hot Turtle Mocha. Hot coffee with both chocolate and caramel syrup/flavor shots and whipped cream on top.

I don’t drink coffee anymore for health reasons but I used to. Norway, where I live, is the place where most coffee is drunken per person in the world. There are coffee bars everywhere. Most of my friends and family are addicted. Hehe.

One of my favorite coffee recipies when I could still drink it was chocolate coffee. You make it as coffee Latte but with dark chocolate sauce in the bottom. But seeing from the blog enterance title you already know how to make this! 🙂

Something else I sometimes used to drink was Irish Coffee. Mix 4 cups of quality coffee with 4 teaspoons of sugar. Then add 16 cl quality Irish whiskey. And finally 1 1/2 dl lightly whipped cream which is put on top, not mixed. The idea is to get different tastes while drinking. But most likely you might know this recipie too. Its tastes great to switch the Wiskey for Baileys. Then you would need no, to less sugar, because Baileys is very sweet:) Tastes even better with chocolate flakes on top!

    Hi Marie!
    Fun contest
Thanks for a chance to win!

My favorite coffee drink is Dulce de Leche Crème:
“A delicious combination of the classic Latin American milk caramel, Dulce de Leche, with freshly steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and a dusting of toffee sprinkles. A sweet, indulgent treat”. Starbucks

    Worth every calorie 🙂

I have been admiring your Latte cards, they are fabulous. I’ve been going to my favorite drive up Expresso shop and ordering a 20 oz Hazelnut Granita, skim milk, sugar free for several months and will probably continue to do so until after Halloween. When it turns cold, my drink will go from a cold Granita to a hot Latte but I’ll order it the same otherwise.

Oh these recipes are yummy! Can’t wait to show you what I am going to do with them! Keep them coming in…

By the way I am a perculator person myself – I have a perculator made out of china! It’s cream colored and beau-ti-ful! I was given this by my grandmother…. it makes the best coffee! and best of all it is nice to serve the coffee in and keeps the coffee warm… sometimes old is better…

I am working on the special card candy now! What fun… it’s going to be a wonderful surprise package for someone!

I’m a fan of Starbucks Carmel Mocha latte and get them pretty regularly since I live within 10 minutes to 5 different Starbucks. It’s hard to pass one without pulling in.

I love to make lattes at home with a Bialetti stove top expresso maker. I use Starbuck’s expresso beans ground just slightly above the expresso setting on my grinder. I froth 5 oz. of skim milk in a Bodum hand pump frother (which, btw, is the most incredible simple gadget ever and makes the most incredible thick froth). I microwave the skim milk for one minute on high before pumping to froth. Pour a double shot of expresso into a large cup, add the froth.
For a treat I’ll add a squeeze of Hershey’s Lite syrup to the cup first or a squeeze of caramel ice cream topping. In the fall, just sprinkle the top with a blend of Splenda and pumpkin pie or apple pie spice. I’m always looking for fun things to trick myself into thinking I’m having a super treat since I’m always dieting or planning to diet.
