Stampin' Up! Simply Said Stamp Set

This project features the Simply Said stamp set – #106598.  This is a fun and easy project to make and the stamp set is soooo versatile – I used the swirls to make it look like the heart is a shooting start – you can use this stamp set for a number of events – Thank you, Friendship, St. Patricks Day (make a clover with the hearts), Valentines Day… the ideas are endless…

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 12×12 cardstock color of your choice (for the folder)
  • 1 3.5×3.5 cardstock coordinating color of your choice (for the background)
  • 1 3×3 cardstock – very vanilla
  • 1 8.5×11 cardstock – very vanilla
  • 1 8.5×11 patterned paper – matching the coordinating color/main folder color
  • 6 5×5 Linen Paper – Cream
  • 1 Classic Stampin’ Ink Pad – color of Coordinating Cardstock
  • 1 Round Tab Punch
  • 1 Small Tag Punch
  • 1 Large Tag Punch
  • 1 Iridescent Ice Emboss Powder
  • 2 Antique Eyelets
  • Eggplant 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon

Directions:

  • Step 1:  Score the 12×12 cardstock at 6″ down the middle
  • Step 2:  Score the 12×12 cardstock at 5.75″ and 6.25 ” down the middle on opposite sides
  • Step 3:  Cut 3″off the side that is scored 6″ down the middle (these are your pockets)
  • Step 4:  Fold where the double scored side is the side of the stationary holder, the single scored fold is the pocket – fold that as well.
  • Step 5:  Stamp on the 5×5 Linen Paper your preferred stamps.
  • Step 6:  Place two eyelets – one on each pocket top to keep pocket closed.
  • Step 7:  Place 3.5×3.5 coordinating color cardstock in middle of holder front.
  • Step 8: Using stamp-a-ma-jig place image on 3×3 very vanilla cardstock
  • Step 9: Cut tab with round tab punch using patterened paper
  • Step 10: Stamp image on 3×3 very vanilla cardstock
  • Step 11: Emboss dots if desired with iridescent ice embossing powder
  • Step 12: Using the direct to paper technique, color the sides of the 3×3 cardstock
  • Step 13: Affix tab on side of 3×3 very vanilla cardstock
  • Step 14: Affix 3×3 cardstock to 3.5×3.5 card stock – if desired leave top side unglued for a pocket to hold tags
  • Step 15: Make tags
  • Step 16: Take Ribbon and thread through eyelets and tabs
